Designed To Lure

Taj Krishna in Hyderabad has carved a niche for itself with its superior architecture and design elements. Vyas Sivanand checks in

The sun over Hyderabad often burns to tangible fury and cuts short any desire to venture out. Being indoors is the best solution and when it is at a grandiose design-propelling hotel like Taj Krishna, you tend to forget the ferocity of the sun.

An architectural masterpiece, Taj Krishna has a structural eloquence with a grand staircase-kind of design. The hotel, with marble pillars and ornately carved décor that wraps its guests in opulent luxury, has 260 rooms and suites. Its grand lobby is an interesting blend of space and light with carved mother-of-pearl inlay work on the marble pillars. The hotel has also accommodated Dholpur stone pillars along with lush Mughal gardens.

Exclusive Business Facilities

Its rooms are divided into Superior, Deluxe and Suites along with the Taj Club rooms. Each one has its own identity with modern guest amenities like wireless Internet connectivity, international direct dial facility, channel music, mini-bar, tea-coffee makers, etc.

The Taj Club for the business travellers and luxury suites with the traditional grandeur leave no design element unturned. The hotel's business services include broadband Internet access, colour copier, laptop computers on hire, mobile phones on hire, multimedia computers, secretarial services, wireless Internet access and workstations. Deccan, its 10,000 square feet conference hall is another marvel for gatherings and international conventions. The hotel can also accommodate smaller events in its meeting and boardrooms.

Distinct Dining

The hotel offers distinctive dining experience, from casual all-day eateries to formal, fine dining. Guests can also opt for Encounters, the hotel's all-day dining restaurant which offers a variety of popular cuisine or alternatively, Firdaus, the exquisite Indian restaurant. Another restaurant at the hotel is Golden Dragon that serves authentic Schezwan cuisine.

For after hours there is Seasons Bar & Lounge, a bar that has live band as well as French wines, T2 discotheque, and the recently opened Ahala, the drama lounge with a three dimensional experience, i.e. the one place to drink, dine and party. The restaurant serves a range of Pan-Asian cuisine with emphasis on 'wok' cooking.
The Taj Krishna boasts one of the city's biggest and the richest, as far as design is concerned, conference halls. The Grand Ballroom, a 6,600 square feet pillarless hall created by using Italian marble, intricate inlays and woodwork, luxurious hand woven carpets, gold leafing work, exquisite chandeliers stitched with the latest in electronic and digital gadgets is an experience in itself.

Six kilometres from the airport, the hotel also offers other facilities like bookshop, fitness center, shopping arcade, souvenir shop and swimming pool.
