  • Are there any package tours available for Scandinavian countries? If yes, which countries are included? How much would a 10-day tour cost?

    European tour operators such as Cosmos Tours offer coach tours to Scandinavia varying from 10 days to 15 days. The countries covered are Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway. On an average, a 10-day tour will cost about US $1,370 per person on twin-share basis and will include accommodation with daily breakfast, and guided sightseeing by coach.   • I would like to travel to Spain for a week long holiday with my family. Can you suggest an itinerary and also indicate how much it might cost? Also, I would like to know where one can apply for the visa?

    Trafalgar Tours offer vacations in Spain from Madrid and back. A suggested tour will cover Madrid-Toledo-Granada-Costa del Sol-Seville-Cordoba-Madrid. The tour will cost about US $1,099 per person on twin-share basis. However, the exact price depends upon the departure date. You need to apply for your Spanish visa from the Embassy of Spain.

  • I will be travelling to Sao Paulo on business February end and would like to experience the Carnival in Rio. Do Indian tour operators organise specific packages for it? How much would a two-day trip cost?

    The Carnival is celebrated in towns and villages throughout Brazil and other Catholic countries. Rio de Janiero has long been regarded as the Carnival capital of the world. There are no tour operators in India that organise such tours. For more details, refer to www.infinity-tours.com.

  • Can you suggest a relatively unknown hill station with basic facilities in South India during the summer holidays?

    The Aruku Valley is a hill station in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is situated at an altitude of 1,300 metres above sea level on Anantagiri hills. It has pleasant and moderate weather through the year and you may plan your trips to the Aruku Valley any time of the year. There are several options for accommodation; there are cottages, resorts, inspection bungalows and tourist bungalows to chose from according to one's budget.

  • I am interested in bungee jumping after trying this adventure sport in Goa. I would like to know which is the highest bungee jumping place in the world and how much would it cost?

    At 722 feet, the jump along the wall of the Verzasca dam (Ticino, Switzerland) is the highest in the world. The best time to go is between April to October. The cost for a Swiss package (including bungee jumping) can be worked depending upon the period of travel.

  • Which are the best wildlife sanctuaries in India for tiger sightings and which is the best month to visit them?

    Corbett National Park in Uttar Pradesh (best time to visit is November to May), Sunderbans Wildlife Sanctuary in West Bengal (best time to visit is February to March), Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan (best time to visit is November to May), Mudanthurai Tiger Sanctuary in Tamil Nadu (best time to visit is January to March) are some of the best wildlife sanctuaries that are home to tigers and other wildlife.
