Continental Launches India-USA Non-Stop

Continental Airlines has become the first airline to fly non-stop between India and the USA. It commenced operations with a daily service between New Delhi and New York in November operating a Boeing 777 on the route.

The airline is charging Rs 45,000 for a return Economy Class ticket and Rs 1,25,000 for a Business Class return ticket. Continental flight CO83, departs from Delhi at 11.45 pm (local time) and lands in New York at 5.05 am (local time). The Boeing 777 operated by the airline on this route has a capacity of 283 seats, with configuration of 48 seats in Business Class and 235 seats in Economy Class.
