AI Launches Non-Stop Flights Between Pune And Dubai

Air India has launched non-stop flights between Pune and Dubai from December 12, 2005. The new flights, AI-719 and 718, will be operated on the Mumbai-Pune-Dubai-Pune-Mumbai route with 201-seater Airbus 310 aircraft on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. The introductory fares for travel up to December 24, 2005 are Rs 5,475 plus taxes (one way) and the return ticket Rs.12,105 plus taxes.

The flight will depart from Pune at 3.15 pm arriving in Dubai at 4.55 pm, and will depart from Dubai at 6.00 pm and land in Pune at 10.25 pm (all local time). The new flights will provide connectivity to Dubai for people from Pune and neighbouring areas. Passengers boarding or deplaning in Pune will be able to complete their immigration and customs formalities at their city airport, both at the time of departure and arrival. The airline now has 42 weekly services to Dubai as against 25 flights prior to April 2003.

While Air India operates 28 flights to Dubai from Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Lucknow and Thiruvananthapuram, daily services to Dubai from Kochi and Kozhikode are operated by Air India Express. With the introduction of the service, Pune will become Air India's 14th online station in India.
