Cathay Pacific Voted ‘Airline Of The Year’

Cathay Pacific Airways made a virtual clean sweep of this year's World Airline Awards. It has been named Airline of The Year, Best Airline Asia and Best First Class in the 2005 World Airline Awards poll conducted by London-based Skytrax. The poll for this years Awards was conducted by Skytrax from June 2004-May 2005 and was reportedly the largest ever passenger survey with more than 12.3 million eligible nominations with votes casted by 94 different nationalities. Cathay Pacific was previously voted the Airline of the Year in 2003 in a similar Skytrax Awards poll. The airline has carried off the Skytrax "Best Airline - Asia" award three times, "Best Airline - Transpacific" twice and won the “Best Lounge” award in 2002.
