Air Deccan To Cover All Airports In Kerala

Air Deccan, India's first low-cost carrier, plans to provide connectivity between the three international airports in Kerala within the next three months. The airline plans to introduce two regular flights in the morning and evening from Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode airports. A Bangalore-Kochi-Agathi flight will also be launched in the next two months. Apart from this the airline also has plans to connect various Gulf countries with Kerala. This was disclosed by Capt G R Gopinath, MD, Air Deccan recently at a launch function of the airline's Kerala operations at Kochi International Airport Air Deccan commences its Kerala operations with daily flights from Bangalore and Chennai to Kochi. Speaking at the launch function, Oomen Chandy, Chief Minister of Kerala said that decks had been cleared for setting up a fourth international airport at Kannur. He informed that feasibility studies for the same were complete and the Government had appointed a Special Officer for speedy implementation of the project.
