Visa Announces Zero Liability Protection For Visa Debit Cards In India

Visa International, the world's leading payment brand and the largest payment system worldwide recently announced that all Visa Debit cards issued in India will be a part of Visa's Zero Liability programme. The Visa Zero Liability programme protects Visa Debit cardholders against any monetary losses, liabilities or claims resulting from fraudulent or unauthorised use of their Visa Debit card if their card is lost, stolen or misplaced. ICICI Bank is the first bank in India, and in the Asia Pacific region, to adopt Visa's global Zero Liability programme for its debit cardholders in India. More than seven million Visa Debit cards of all ICICI Banks will be protected against any claim if the card is misused. Visa's Zero Liability will protect Visa debit transactions processed over the Visa network. Besides India, Visa Zero Liability is available to cardholders in markets such as USA and Canada.
