Emirates Increases West-Bound Frequencies

Emirates Airlines, is stepping up its west-bound frequencies. Starting November 7, 2005, the airline will commence its second daily non-stop service from Dubai to New York-JFK. This along with the introduction of the fifth daily service to London-Heathrow in August, increasing its tally of flights to a total of 91 to UK, which will provide improved connections to Indian business and leisure travellers. The introduction of the second daily non-stop flight to New York has been brought about by the unprecedented success of the initial non-stop service introduced in June 2004. The new daily service EK 203 will depart Dubai International Airport at 1.30 a.m. and land at the ultra- modern Terminal 4 at New York's JFK International Airport at 7.10 a.m. the same day. The return flight EK 204 will depart JFK at 9.10 a.m. and arrive in Dubai at 6.50 a.m. (local time) the next day. The airlines is using A340-500 aircraft for the non-stop flight to New York, which has signature comforts on board like private suites with flat beds and sliding doors, room service that can be ordered from an extensive menu at any time, mood-lighting that helps reset the body clock and minimises jet-lag, 500-plus channel in in-flight entertainment system etc. According to vice-president India and Nepal, Abdulla Nasser Abdulla Hussain, the additional daily service to New-York and the fifth frequency to London-Heathrow will provide Indian travellers with increased choice and flexibility. Members of Skywards, Emirates’ frequent flyer programme, can earn Skywards Miles when flying in any class between New York and Dubai.
