Anniversary Musings…

I guess an Anniversary Issue is as good a time as any to sit back and take stock of a publication and the industry it services. A publication like feBusiness Traveller - a pioneer in its field, the first to recognise the emergence of a specific business travel niche in the country - is probably also the best qualified to comment on the growth and maturity of this segment, as also the future trends that we are likely to witness within the business travel segment in India. The cover story in this anniversary issue has been inspired by the constant feedback that we receive from our readers and also the results of various surveys that we have undertaken from time to time within the business travel community and the travel trade (service providers) in India. There have been various issues raised, new developments to reckon with and plenty of questions that remain unanswered… Everyone, from the corporate travel managers, specialist business travel operators, airlines, hotels, other stakeholders in the business and the business travellers themselves would certainly like some of these questions to be answered. There is no doubt that India is seeing an explosion in business travel today and this rate of growth will continue to position it as one of the fastest expanding business travel markets in the world. It therefore becomes crucial for anyone concerned with this segment to take cognisance of some trends and developments that will dictate the future.

I would like to acknowledge the support of all our readers, partners in the travel industry and the corporate world who have made this analysis possible….

Cheers!
