Malaysia Airlines Refurbishes Aircraft

Malaysia Airlines recently introduced their newly refurbished Boeing 747-400 aircraft in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The refurbishment, which amounts to approximately RM 700 million (US$ 184 million), will also involve other Boeing fleet such as 17 Boeing 747-200 and 17 Boeing 747-400 aircraft over a period of two years. The newly crafted tagline, 'Redefined Luxury' would mean flat beds, innovative design in both the First and Business Class and the latest technology to tap the premium segment of the market. With a seat allocation in the B747-400 of 12 First, 41 Business and 306 Economy, this long haul aircraft will cater initially to the Kuala Lumpur-London route.

Business travellers now flying Malaysia Airlines can look forward to a relaxed travel on-board. The advanced in-flight entertainment alone offers more than 350 entertainment options in all the classes while the Business and First Class are treated to 10 different mood lighting to cater to every mood right from boarding, day-lighting, sleeping to even dinner and breakfast. Since December 2004, four of the upgraded Boeing 777-200 have already gone into service flying the Orient, Australian and European routes.
