Lufthansa Launches Service To Hyderabad

Lufthansa commenced service to Hyderabad last month. The airline operates flights thrice a week between Hyderabad and Frankfurt. Flight LH752 departs from Frankfurt at 11.30 a.m. landing in Hyderabad at 12.30 a.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Flight LH 753 departs from Hyderabad at 2.25 a.m. and arrives in Frankfurt at 7.45 a.m. on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The aircraft used for the service is A 340-300.

The operation of the Hyderabad-Frankfurt route is the result of the signing of a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Lufthansa and Air-India in August 2003. This bilateral agreement allows for a gradual expansion of flights between India and Germany. In addition, the agreement has also provided for customers on both airlines to collect and redeem miles for their respective programmes: Miles & More and Flying Returns. The new service has made Hyderabad the fifth destination of the Lufthansa network in India. Lufthansa operates 34 flights a week to India including daily flights between Delhi-Frankfurt, Mumbai-frankfurt, Chennai-Frankfurt and Bangalore-Frankfurt and three flights a week between Delhi-Munich and Hyderabad-Frankfurt.
