Tata AIG Launches Business Travel Guard

Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited, has launched 'Business Travel Guard,' first of its kind group insurance cover that gives comprehensive overseas travel coverage for business traveler. This policy has been specifically designed keeping in mind the insurance cover needs of SME (small and medium enterprises) for overseas business travel and organizations, where the key executives are traveling overseas frequently. Business Travel Guard offers unique annual multi-trip policy benefits with per trip business duration of 90 days as against the present industry norm of 45 days. Further, Tata AIG offers excellent discounts on the premium payable, ranging from 5 to 15 per cent, which is in proportion to the number of employees that are covered in this insurance policy. Besides, Business Travel Guard offers tremendous flexibility in choosing the type of risk plans depending on individual requirements of the insured's employees. The insured has the option to choose three risk plans from Silver, Gold and Platinum category. For instance, Silver Plan for employees up to manager cadre, Gold Plan up to Vice President Cadre and Platinum Plan for Directors and above. An hassle-free easy-to-buy travel insurance plan it does not require any health declarations or medical tests.

Under the Platinum Plan, Business Travel Guard offers to cover accident and sickness medical expenses amounting US$ 200,000 and it comes with additional benefits such as Personal Liability cover of US$ 5,00,000. While, under the Gold and Silver Plan, the policy covers accident and sickness medical expenses amounting to US$ 1,00,000 and US$ 50,000 and an additional personal liability cover amounting to US$ 2,00,000 and US $ 1,00,000 respectively. In addition to providing to cover accidental death & dismemberment, sickness medical expenses, personal liability benefit, hospital indemnity; this policy also offers to covers travel related inconveniences such as: baggage loss, baggage delay, trip delay, loss of passport. The benefit 'replacement & rearrangement of staff' is unique and being offered for the first time in India.
