Ford Fusion

Ford has launched a new SUV called Ford Fusion, positioning it as India’s first urban activity vehicle. The car combines the robustness of an SUV and the dynamism and luxury of a premium mid-size sedan. Powered by 1.6L DURATEC™ 16 Valve DOHC, 101ps, all aluminum engine, Fusion also has enhanced fuel economy.

With features like AC and heater, tilt adjustable power steering, central door locking, power windows, rear washer/wiper and defogger, and front and rear fog lamps, the Fusion has been introduced in two variants: a core luxury version ‘Fusion’ and a premium version `Fusion+’ priced at Rs 75,000 extra. Fusion is priced at Rs 620,000 (ex showroom Delhi; Rs 620,000 ex showroom Chennai and Rs 648,000 ex showroom Mumbai).

 


Sleek Roadster

Sanghi Motorcar Co. has launched the sleek new Mercedes Benz SLK 350 in Mumbai. Exhibiting a sporty look with compact and muscular styling, the two seater hard top SLK 350 at a touch of a button turns into a fully convertible vehicle. SLK 350 which delivers 272 horsepower from its stout V6 engine features variable camshaft control and other technological enhancements to make it more fuel-efficient. The convertible can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in about 5.5 seconds, with its automatic one -of- a-kind 7G tronic transmission. The car is priced at Rs 56 lakh ex showroom Mumbai and approximately Rs 58 lakh ex showroom Delhi.

 

 


Portraits 2005

Carlton Travel Goods Ltd recently unveiled its new range of travel cases in India called Carlton Portraits 2005. The new range to be available in India from April comprises of three segments: business, leisure and travel with three to four brands in each. The price of Carlton Portraits travel cases ranges between Rs 3,500 and Rs 8,000.

Triumph International, one of the largest lingerie brand in the world has launched its Tri-action Sports bra in India. The sport bra from Triumph is a non underwired sports bra made of stretchable material with a wide elastic band that gives excellent support for an active lifestyle. Tri-action sports bra is part of the Fall Winter 2004 collection of Triumph which incorporates new fabrics and styles including newer varieties in T-shirt bra and Be Happy styles. All the new styles are priced between Rs 189 to Rs 695 and are available in sizes ranging from 32A to 42D at all leading department store chains in 44 cities across the country.

Cenzer Industries Ltd., national distributor of SAGEM SA, have introduced two new models. Ergonomically designed and trendy to use, the two phones have a host of features like 65,536 colour display, 128 x 160 pixel big display, GPRS/MMS enabled, voice recorder, polyphonic/hi-fi ringtones, hands-free speakerphone, data/fax modem, organiser/biorhythm storage, PC connectivity, currency converter, 1.5MB memory - phonebook /downloads etc and are priced at Rs 13,000.
