Terrible Experience

I recently used Emirates to fly the Mumbai-Dubai-Munich and Munich-Dubai and Dubai-Mumbai route. I had also opted for the Dubai Bargain Package for which they arranged visa and hotel accommodation facilities.

On my return flight on 14th May 2004, after making me wait for long hours saying that there was no seat I was finally given a seat minutes before departure along with a Dh 100 In-Flight Duty Free Voucher for redemption. I could not redeem it due to the misinformation and non-co-operation of the flight attendants. Further during my stay in Dubai I was charged two nights of hotel accommodation inspite of spending only one night in the hotel. My check-in time at their designated hotel was on 13th May 2004 at 7.00 am and check-out was on 14th May 2004 at 11.30 am the next day.

I expressed my unhappiness to Emirates personnel at Dubai and Mumbai through email (for which I did not receive any reply), telephones (no response as I could not reach any responsible personnel in Mumbai office) and letters (which was finally received after three months). However their replies were not at all convincing and seemed to be just lame excuses.

My entire travel was spoilt due to the Dubai experience.
