HelmsBriscoe Enters India

HelmsBriscoe, the largest conference resource firm in the world based in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA is fast expanding its overseas operations as HelmsBriscoe International (HBI) and has entered the Indian hotel/meetings market and is all set to increase its presence with development including recruitment of additional sales associates and hotel partners under the direction of Huzan Fraser and Beena Menon, country directors. Founded in 1992 by Roger Helms, a former top sales person for the Registry Hotel chain, the company has virtually redefined the site selection industry. Anticipating the trend toward outsourcing in the corporate world, Helms saw the opportunity to create a firm that would work directly with clients to assist them in the planning and execution of meetings and in the process achieve cost-savings through the large scale procurement of group hotel rooms. Hotels, in turn, would benefit from HelmsBriscoe's direct-to-corporate sales force. Last year HelmsBriscoe placed over 2 million room nights on behalf of its clients, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in new revenue for hotels.

HelmsBriscoe International (HBI) was formed just four years ago to take the concept global and the company now counts nearly 80 Associates outside the U.S. covering more than 24countries around the world. Clients benefit from HelmsBriscoe's worldwide network of preferred hotel suppliers and global purchasing power; in fact, HB is either the top or among the top three producers of group revenue with virtually every major hotel brand. Hotels benefit from working with experienced Associates that understand the conference business from both sides of the desk. As for HelmsBriscoe's international potential, Ms. Huzan Fraser & Ms Beena Menon, Directors believes it is virtually unlimited. They note, "While the American market still offers tremendous opportunity, we haven't even scratched the surface outside the U.S. It's really exciting when one starts to consider all the possibilities!"
