The flights are operated by two class Boeing 747-300 which have undergone a multi-million dollar refurbishment and feature 'mood lighting' which replaces fluorescent lighting with sophisticated LED lighting technology. On board passengers can avail of best of both worlds with modern Australian and Indian cuisine (prepared by Indian chefs). A unique offer launched by the airline is the snack on Q, an assortment of snacks in a drawstring bag that keeps you munching threw the flight. Qantas' award-winning in-flight entertainment will feature English and Hindi movie and music channels. The direct flight is the relaunch of Qantas operations from India after a gap of two years. Qantas expects to increase flights from India in the near future and is slated to spend along with Tourism Australia AU$ 1.25 million to promote Australia as a holiday destination.
