Escape from the hustle-bustle of Chennai is just 55 kms and an hour's drive away at Temple Bay beach resort in Mamallapuram. Ensconced in the lap of nature, 'life is a beach' at the GRT-Temple Bay resort, a sprawling structure, which exudes an arresting freshness and calm.

Pick any of the 72 rooms comprising Chalets and Villas with sweeping views of the Bay of Bengal or lush manicured lawns and you are set for a peaceful weekend of unwinding. The rooms, almost identical except different colour schemes for each, are reasonably spacious to comfortably accommodate a family of four. And all rooms have a sit out, perfect to arouse the poet in you. For those in a mood to splurge and indulge in lavish luxury opt for the two suites, Ship Suite and Modern Suite.

The offerings for a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend are aplenty at the property and range from soaking in the bathtub to long walks on the beach, a long dip in the infinity swimming pool merging with the sea or nursing a 'stiff one' at the sunken bar in the pool.
