Q 1 - I have to visit Ghana for three weeks on work and can spare a week before my return. I would like to know if the country offers any worthwhile sight-seeing options, if so, which are they and how does one go about visiting them ?

Q 2 - I have heard about the Chaddar trek on the river Zanskar in Ladakh. How long is the trek and can amateurs undertake this trek? Could you suggest a few adventure tour companies who conduct this trek and how much would it cost?

The Chaddar trek on river Zanskar in Ladakh is a ten day trek suitable even for amateurs. The cost is approximately Rs. 2645/-per person per day, which includes hotel accommodation on twin sharing basis with all meals, airport transfers and sightseeing by a non A/c car (four persons in a car), English-speaking guide, cook, trekking equipment, helper and horses for trekking. Q 3 - If I am a first time traveller, an unmarried Indian lady planning to visit UK for a holiday what is the visa procedure?

The following is the list of documents you would require along with the application form for applying for a U.K. Visitor Visa: 1) your passport (this must be valid for the whole period of your visit); 2) recent passport size (45mm x 35mm), colour photographs. The photographs should be taken against a light coloured (white, off-white etc.) background, un-mounted, clear and of good quality, printed on normal photographic paper. It should be full face without sunglasses, hat or other head covering unless you wear this for ethnic or religious reasons; 3) bank statement, pay slips, or any other documentary evidence to prove that you have enough funds to pay for your trip.

Q 4 - If I want to do a backpacking trip of about 15 days in Scandinavia, what would be the approximate cost and are there any tour operators, who can help me organise such a trip?

Q 5 - I plan to visit New Zealand during the Diwali holidays. I have heard that the country is famous for adventure sports s and would like to go bungee jumping but I suffer from asthma. Is it safe to bungee jump if you are an asthma patient? Which adventure activities can an asthma patient undertake?

Although there is no concrete medical evidence against asthmatic patients going bungee jumping, I would advise you to consult your doctor before trying any adventure sports.

The cost of a seven-day tour to Bahamas will vary depending on the choice of hotels and other facilities. Approximate cost would be in the range of Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1,20,000 per person.
