Jet Enhances Frequent Flyer Programme

The Frequent Flyer programme, Jet Privilege (JP) has been revamped recently by the airline. The new JP programme is a radical departure from the existing frequent flyer programme models followed by airlines around the world. Among a host of innovative benefits offered in the new programme is a global first, according to chief operating officer, Peter Leuthi, where JP members can access their membership account, transact online and enjoy a personalised web experience. "Traditionally frequent flyer programmes have focussed on mileage accrual/redemption and fixed window for tier assessment. Jet Airways is the first airline to build their frequent flyer programme based on ‘Dynamic Tier Review’ mechanism, which offers flexibility and truly understands the customer’s behaviour to build profitable customer relationship,” states international loyalty programme guru, Randy Petersen.

The new JP now offers two additional membership levels, thereby replacing the earlier three tier levels with five membership levels: JP Blue, JP Blue Plus, JP Silver, JP Gold and the elite JP Platinum. JP members can access, programme details online by logging on to www.jetairways.com and the site also offers members access to their own personalised online Jet Privilege accounts. The accounts are secured with member-specified password protection.

With an online JP account, members can not only access, but also update their JP information, purchase tickets, access customised offers based on their preferences, verify their JPMiles and activities, claim missing JPMiles, redeem their JPMiles for Jet Airways flights and request any other information from the Jet Privilege Service Centre.

The new programme also has a range of new benefits and unique privileges such as mileage earning capabilities globally in the Hyatt/Hilton chain of hotels.
