New York Calling
Dear Sir:
I very much liked your Globe Trot article 'Indian Hues In New York' in the June
issue. I have been to New York myself twice and was amazed at the cosmopolitan
culture that it exhibits. It is one of the few cities in the world where everyone,
not just Indians, feels at home. In fact, the city is an inkling of the global
nature of the cities of tomorrow. Most people in urban Indian will know a couple
of friends or relatives who live in New York. Susan George has brought out very
well the Indian imprint which is slowly merging into the city.

Precaution Pays
Dear Sir:
'Crime And The Traveller', the cover story of the June issue was very relevant
to the times. As a traveller who's been to many crime-infested cities like Johannesburg,
I know the kind of insecurities that travellers are victim to. But as your story
says, one can take a basic level of precaution which, though it might not make
journeys crime-proof, can make one much more assured while travelling. I think
feBusiness Traveller must focus much more on issues like these which directly
affect the business traveller.
