Entertaining Times

Dear Sir:

Ashish Tiwari’s article on business class theatres, ’The Business Of Entertainment’ in the March issue set me thinking. The concept of theatres has undergone a sea-change ever since the advent of multiplexes. And business class theatres seem to be the next step in making the movie experience as plush as possible. I wonder what the future holds for movie goers - maybe, separate cubicles for each person going into a theatre where he/she will be able to watch the film in 3-D or maybe, something even more futuristic. Whatever be the case, there are entertaining times ahead.

Gender Bender

Dear Sir:

I was beginning to believe that your magazine was skewed towards men but the cover story of your March issue, ’Wooing The Woman Traveller’ has put all such apprehensions to rest. As a woman frequent flier, I am often shocked by the manner in which many service providers tilt their offerings so completely towards men. Even though your article speaks about hotels becoming ’women-savvy’, I think they still have a long way to go. The needs of women are different from men and with women numbers increasing in hotels and airlines, they can ignore women at their own peril.
