The Big B Psychology

Landmark achievements and occasions like anniversaries are always reasons to celebrate, and we are no exception. As the feBusiness Traveller completes its first anniversary with this issue, it's a cause for celebration for us, for our readers and everyone who has been involved with the evolution of this magazine ever since its inception. But more than the mere occasion, I would like to think of this as the celebration of some unique achievements for the publication. All these achievements have been linked to the Big B... I'm sure most of you are familiar with the term! However, I'm not talking about the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Yes, I know that the Big B himself features on the cover of this issue and is the star attraction of our anniversary special. But then, it's hard to feature a man like him anywhere, and on any topic, without him being the central focus. He is as reticent as he is sought-after and definitely reluctant to talk on anything other than his industry or area of expertise. It is therefore a happy coincidence that we could feature this rare and exclusive chat on travel with the Big B in this anniversary issue.

Coming back to the Big B that has been the secret of our success, the first Big B would be our Business focus. We have concentrated right from the very beginning on the business of travel and the travel business, and this is what sets us apart from other travel publications. The other Big B would be the Breakaway concept as we have broken away from the mould of travel publishing in India and identified a segment that is arguably the fastest growing travel niche in the country, business travel. The business traveller is evolving and so are we. The Biggest B in our achievements though is the Breakthrough that we have effected in the minds of our readers. Your overwhelming response and feedback just goes to prove that the feBusiness Traveller has been well accepted in the Indian business travel community and has encouraged us to experiment with even more novel ideas that you will see over the coming months.

The only B that we know does not exist now is a Barrier to growth!

Cheers!!
