NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

Deserving Winners

It's official now. Business travellers all over this country have clearly indicated their preferences in hotels (business & leisure), airlines (domestic & international), MICE destination (international) and car rental agency at the first-ever popular choice awards in the business travel segment in India. As the flood of responses poured in, two things became very apparent. Firstly, that we had captured the imagination of the business travel community with this concept, and secondly, that they were more than happy to share their views and preferences with us.

As it turned out the winners of the various categories were a clear reflection of the common perception of the end consumers and the travel community alike. Naturally, there was disappointment among those who did not figure on the winners list and absolute ecstasy for those who won. The stand out point was that every winner had the satisfaction of knowing that it was their target audience that voted to reward all the effort that they had put in to service this high-end segment of the market. Wooing business travellers is no mean job and recognising excellence in service to this segment is what the feBusiness Traveller aimed at by instituting these awards, being India's only business travel magazine.

One look at the winners list, which includes Jet Airways, Singapore Airlines, British Airways, Taj, Marriott, Hyatt, Hertz, etc, is testimony to the fact that these have always been leaders, trend-setters and innovators in the launch of various business travel products in this country and abroad. As we dedicate this special issue to our award-winners, the cover story will provide a greater perspective on the awards and the big night itself. On behalf of the feBusiness Traveller, I would like to congratulate all our winners and thank our readers for actively participating in this poll and supporting this pioneering effort. Let the celebrations begin!
