AirTel Launches Global Care
AirTel have announced the launch of a unique value added service ‘AirTel Global Care’ for its international roaming subscribers. This complimentary service will provide medical assistance to international roaming subscribers across the world and would facilitate best medical aid. The customer is entitled to a range of 24 hour medical assistance services such as medical advice from a doctor, medical service provider referrals abroad, assistance with appointments with doctors overseas, assistance with hospital admission overseas, medical monitoring when hospitalised overseas, and emergency medical evacuating. The service is being launched in association with International SOS (ISOS). The customer just needs to dial the International SOS number (+919818050505) to avail of these services. The AirTel Global Care service is being launched in Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Punjab and will be extended to the international roamers of other AirTel circles also. Speaking on the launch, Manoj Kohli, president mobility, Bharti Tele-Ventures said, “With the increase in international travellers, AirTel realised the need for a service that would give our valued customers more comfort and security while travelling. AirTel Global Care is intended to provide medical care/aid to our international roamers whenever they travel abroad. For enabling this service we have tied up with world renowned ISOS. Our sensitivity towards our customers and value adds, will prove to be our key differentiator in the times to come”.


Golden Opportunities In Dubai
In order to enhance the trade of gold, diamonds, coloured stones and other precious metals between India and United Arab Emirates, the DMCC (Dubai Metals and Commodities Centre) is offering 100 per cent ownership of purpose-built manufacturing units and a 50 year tax holiday to the resident companies. The DMCC, launched on April 24, 2002 is the only centre in the world today to unite gold, other precious metals, diamonds and commodities businesses. DMCC chief executive officer Tawfique Abdullah said, “We are committed to developing a strong base in Dubai, to attract and facilitate business throughout the entire value-chain in gold, diamonds and other commodities”. “We will build partnering relationships with our customers, provide state-of-the-art infrastructure and value added services,” he added. The manufacturing complex, recently opened for booking, will eventually house multiple manufacturing units, each with 12 floors and 6,000 square meters.
