South Africa’s Visa Requirements Revised

South Africa High Commission, New Delhi, with immediate effect has revised visa requirements as follows.

Business visa requirements :

• Passport valid for no less than 30 days after the expiry of intended visit
• One visa application form duly filled in (photocopy can be used)
• Prescribed fee, if applicable
• Two photographs
• Proof of financial means in the form of - bank statements; salary advises; undertaking(s) by the host(s) in the Republic; bursaries; medical cover; (or) cash available including credit cards or traveller’s cheques to cover envisaged living expenses during the sojourn in the Republic
• Proof of booking of airline ticket (return tickets)
• Supporting documentation confirming the purpose and duration of the visit
• Inoculation certificate, if required
• A cash deposit may be called for in certain cases (INR 40,000/-) refundable
• Proof of accommodation/letter of invitation from the South African contact person in South Africa
• Health requirement - yellow fever certificates are required if the journey starts or entails passing through the yellow fever belt of Africa or South America
• Fee - nil
• Time taken : 72 hrs

Note: No fixed travel arrangements must be made prior to the issuing of the visa and a maximum of ten days must be allowed for the processing thereof.
