Anuga FoodTec The Future Of Food Technology

Anuga FoodTec is the international trade fair for food production solutions and adopts a process-oriented and cross-sector approach

With 10 trade fairs being offered under one roof as well as a new and enhanced websites that are even more informative and for the first time allows to register and preplan meetings, the Anuga FoodTec 2003 is looking to be more businesslike than ever before.

From April 8 - 11, 2003, Anuga FoodTec in Cologne will serve as an information and purchasing platform that covers the entire spectrum of technology and investment requirements for production in all segments of the international food industry. The fact that Anuga FoodTec is not bound to specific sectors, raw materials or sub-processes is the fair’s most distinctive characteristic. The number of registrations received demonstrates that this event has taken up a clear and successful position in the international trade fair market. More than 1,000 companies from more than 40 countries are expected to attend.

The exhibition will occupy a gross space of 92,000 sq m spread over halls nine to 14 at Koelnmesse and will be divided into areas reflecting themes. The areas would comprise process technology; packaging technology; food safety and quality management; bio-engineering; environmental technology as well as a science and research centre.

Feels Wolfgang Kranz, member of the executive board, Koelnmesse (organisers of Anuga), said, “The food industry is in a consolidation phase, with each part of the process linked to the other. One visitor has more than one interest. There has been a demand from the trade to therefore bring together the various important aspects of the food industry to allow for better business interaction.”

The 10 separate food fairs will be focussing on the 10 strong sectors under the shared roof of Anuga. The goal of the new conceptual development is to allow individual sub-sectors to benifit while developing an independant profile to attract exhibitors and visitors alike.

Anuga’s new websites - www.anugafoodtec.de and www.anugafoodtec.com - allows visitors to access to a wide range of products and services.
