Mukadam gets rejuvenated at The Spa, Leela Palace, a palatial
health spa in Bangalore
Especially
in modern times, almost everyone seeks a retreat where mind,
body and spirit can be rejuvenated. Sprawled over 20,000 square
feet, The Spa at the Leela Palace, Bangalore succeeds in creating
an oasis of calm, using old and new arts of rejuvenation.
Treatments are administered by professionals who have undergone
rigorous training by international spa consultants for six
months. Equipped with a state-of -the-art gymnasium, private
dressing rooms, luxuriously designed whirlpools, saunas, steam
baths, relaxation rooms, the spa in addition has luxury treatment
suites, hydrotherapy rooms and a true blue Indian Ayurvedic
Centre.
And
since the spa operates from 7 am to 10 pm, you can conveniently
adjust your demanding schedule to accomodate your treatments
which is exactly how I managed to do a three-day therapy there.
The treatment begins with a consultation with Dr Rajesh Sriniwas,
the spa manager, who after studying my general lifestyle and
health patterns designed a course of treatments suited to
my needs.
My therapy commenced with the signature Indian Magic
massage, a treatment comprising a unique blend of aroma oils,
potions and lotions.
This
was followed by Rani Padmavatis luxury milk bath.
Named after the legendary Indian queen, this unique bath is
made from rich milk proteins, fragrant essentials, oils and
sea salts. Luxuriating in this blend you will be surprised
at how smooth and silky your skin feels. The treatment concluded
with a dusting of rose petal powder to enhance the regality
of the entire experience.
The
following day therapy started with a reflexology session that
lasted an hour followed by the Precious Stones
body polish treatment. This comprehensive treatment started
with a full body brushing to exfoliate the body, followed
by a deep body and scalp massage using hot and cold stones
on vital energy points and a blend of essential oils chosen
to suit individual requirements. After which I was guided
for a luxurious hydrotherapy bath to relax and strengthen
the body, boost the immune system and increase metabolism.
As strong jets pummeled my body, I could feel the tension
draining away. Then there was the royal facial
and the Leela classic pedicure. The entire pedicure
and foot massage is administered while you continue to lie
back, slipping readily into deep slumber.
By the third day I already felt like a new person, any sign
of fatigue being totally erased, ready to take on the world.
