Stress Out

Dear Sir,
Dr Mukesh Batra’s article on combating stress was quite interesting. Relaxation is the key to a peaceful life. Dr Batra’s recommendations are mostly elementary pranayams, the system of breathing in Yoga.

Besides what he has written about, there are a number of alternative techniques to counter stress like aromatherapy, Vipassana meditation, Thai massages etc. Since stress is such a major component of the corporate world, Express Business Traveller should feature more such articles. As a frequent flyer, I hope you consider my suggestion.

Exploring The East

Dear Sir,
I read Hugh and Colleen Gantzer’s article on Arunachal Pradesh with a sense of despair which kept on increasing as the writers elaborated on the breathtaking beauty of the state. India’s north-east is comparable to or better than any other tourist destination in the world. Anyone who has visited the region will testify to its virgin beauty. Yet, due to a variety of political reasons, the potential has remained unexploited despite the north-eastern states badly needing revenue for economic development. Unless the problems of the region are addressed in an urgent manner, we will be like paupers sitting impotently on a gold mine.

Click, Click!

Dear Sir,
I notice that Express Business Traveller has started a new section called Photo Shop. Your last issue had impressive photographs of the Swiss Alps. I wait in anticipation to what you will have in store. Hope its more mindblowing photos of more international destinations.

Reduce Tariff

Dear Sir,
After reduction in airfares, Rajdhani and Shatabdi rail fares may also be reduced. To attract local and foreign tourists to India, the Indian hotel industry must follow suit too and reduce room tariffs so that middle class tourists are attracted to stay in five-star hotels. Even all connected charges in hotels like food and beverage etc should be reduced drastically. If our hotels take this positive step, I am sure occupancies shall rise in turn leading to increase in India’s foreign exchange.
Yours faithfully,
